To commemorate the golden anniversary of the Association of Asian Nations (ASEAN), Bislig City joins 71 other local government units in the Philippines in the simultaneous landmark lighting at 7:00 pm, August 8, 2017, at Herculano Basañez Boulevard (Baywalk), Bislig City, Surigao del Sur.

The Pasundayag preceding the landmark lighting proper started with an invocation by Ms. Catherine L.           At exactly 7:00 o’clock in the evening, Pasuga ASEAN Landmark Lighting Ceremony was done.  Leading the Pasuga were City Officials of Bislig led by Mayor Librado Cubil Navarro, Vice Mayor Jonas A.
