On August 5, 2020, the Dinagat Islands Alliance for Development (DIAD) conducted a Joint Meeting of the seven Local Government Units (LGUs) and Technical Working Group (TWG)  at the Provincial Governor’s Conference Hall, Capitol Compound, Brgy. Cuarinta, San Jose, Dinagat Islands. This activity aims to discuss the fishery and forest laws enforcement protocol, delineation of municipal waters and the proposed draft of the Unified Fishery Ordinance.

In attendance were the Technical Working Group composed of the National Line Agencies (DENR, BFAR, PNP and DA) and heads of offices in the province and the Municipal Planning & Development Coordinators, Municipal Agriculturists, SB Chairpersons on Agriculture, SB Secretaries and Municipal Local Government Operations Officers of the seven municipalities.

DIAD is a peace and order initiative of the province which aims to sustain effective environmental governance through complementation of intervention to achieve a nurturing culture for meaningful people participation.

DILG, being the head secretariat of the PPOC through Provincial Director Domingo E. Bulabog, facilitated the said meeting with DIAD Project Management Office Coordinator, Mr. Gaudencio S. Macabales Jr.
