In accordance with Executive Order No. 773 dated January 5, 2009 and DILG Memorandum Circular No. 2019-143 dated August 27, 2019, the Regional Peace and Order Council (RPOC) of Region XIII (Caraga) conducted its fourth and last quarter meeting for Calendar Year 2022 on November 10, 2022 at Dottie’s Place Hotel, J.C. Aquino Avenue, Butuan City.  DILG Caraga Regional Director Lilibeth A. Famacion, CESO III being the RPOC Head Secretariat presided the meeting due to pending issuance of the appointments of the RPOC Chairperson and Vice-Chairpersons from President Ferdinand R. Marcos, Jr.. The introduction of the new PNP Caraga Regional Director, PBGEN Pablo G Labra II formed part the activity.

Seventeen (17) local government units (LGUs) in Region XIII – Caraga are awardees for this year’s Seal of Good Local Governance (SGLG). Among the twenty-seven (27) LGUs in the region visited by national validators for the SGLG National Validation, these 17 LGUs made its way after the rigorous process of performance assessment:

  • City of Tandag, Surigao del Sur
  • Municipality of Santiago, Agusan del Norte
  • Municipality of Talacogon, Agusan del Sur
  • Municipality of Trento, Agusan del Sur

  • Municipality of Claver, Surigao del Norte
  • Municipality of Del Carmen, Surigao del Norte
  • Municipality of Sison, Surigao del Norte
  • Municipality of Cagwait, Surigao del Sur
  • Municipality of Carmen, Surigao del Sur
  • Municipality of Hinatuan, Surigao del Sur
  • Municipality of Basilisa, Dinagat Islands
  • Municipality of Cagdianao, Dinagat Islands
  • Municipality of San Jose, Dinagat Islands
  • Municipality of Tubajon, Dinagat Islands

This year - 2022 is the first year of the full-blown implementation of Republic Act No. 11292, known as the SGLG Act of 2019 para sa Pagkilala sa Katapatan at Kahusayan ng Pamahalaang Lokal.
