Licudine paid a visit to the Caraga Regional Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict (RTF-ELCAC) Operation Center located at the DILG Caraga Regional Office in Brgy. Doongan, Butuan City today, 8 July 2020.

The newly-appointed Commander of the 4th Infantry Division, Major General Andres C. Centino, together with 402nd Infantry Brigade Commander, Brigadier General Maurito L. Licudine paid a visit to the Caraga Regional Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict (RTF-ELCAC) Operation Center located at the DILG Caraga Regional Office in Brgy. Doongan, Butuan City today, 8 July 2020.

The two generals discussed ELCAC concerns with DILG Caraga Regional Director and RTF-ELCAC Technical Working Group (TWG) Chair Lilibeth A. Famacion, DILG Assistant Regional Director Donald A. Seronay, and LGCDD Chief and OpCen Co-Chief Annabel F. Yangson. Specifically, they tackled the appropriate steps to be taken next in the efficient implementation of EO 70 as it achieves its full-steam enforcement.

General Centino highlighted the need for the twelve (12) Lines of Effort to be continually empowered in the discharge of their duties on the matter of ending local communist armed conflict to ensure that the whole-of-nation principle will be upheld in securing peace and development in Caraga region.

Citing the weakening force of the enemy, General Licudine iterated that the Retooled Community Support Program should be enforced immediately in the cleared barangays to warrant the preservation of peace in these vulnerable areas.

As a response, Director Famacion committed the full support of the TWG in the undertakings of the Task Force and that it will strive to come up with ways on how the ELCAC interventions can be implemented most effectively.

Likewise, General Centino affirmed the support of the AFP to the activity initiated by DILG Caraga to be held this Friday which shall be done to revisit the priority PPAs of RCSP-identified barangays in the region.
